CORNWALL CRAFT COLLECTIVE — 2023

My partner and I travelled across the Cornwall photographing craftspeople in their studios and workplaces, documenting their processes and speaking with them about their practice.
The project focused on traditional and independent craft at a time when many small-scale makers were ageing or working without clear succession.

Although the wider project did not continue beyond its initial stages, a small selection of portraits and studio studies remain. Included here is work made with Geoff James, the last person producing Troika pottery under Foster’s Pottery near Redruth.
This project sits within my ongoing interest in labour, skill, and the individuals who sustain local traditions through long-term practice.
