Objects of Self Destruction

An exploration of humanity’s insatiable desire to continuously make, create, and consume, regardless of the detrimental consequences it causes for ourselves and the planet. Each object intends to call attention to the paradoxical relationship between our relentless pursuit of convenience, novelty, and self-indulgence, and our inevitable self destruction.

The Cabo Coffee Table

A personal project taken on after researching small living spaces.
The table was designed to solve my own living space and to improve my skills for working with wood. I wanted it to be easily constructible and reconstructible without the use of power tools, and be able to be used as an average table as well as the perfect Cabo card game table. The table top can be flipped for the desired use, and the doors can be moved to show different sides of the shelves (or hide one side).
